2.
Why did I receive an invitation letter?
You received an invitation letter because you have met
the academic requirements for membership, and your university
provided the local Phi Sigma Theta chapter with your name
and address. You can contact the registrar’s office
if you do not wish to have your name and address available
to similar registered student organizations.

3. Why did I receive an invitation
letter if I am already a member?
Phi Sigma Theta tries to avoid this situation. However,
this is not always possible because of the differences
in university processing methods and timing. Also, methods
we use to cross reference existing members' contact information
to new eligible members are not always 100% accurate.
If you receive an invitation and are already a member,
please forgive us.

4. How much time does membership
require?
There is no minimum participation requirement to maintain
your membership in Phi Sigma Theta. However, Phi Sigma
Theta strongly encourages its members to participate in
the organization as much as possible, and become an active
member in Phi Sigma Theta and any local activities with
which Phi Sigma Theta is involved. Nationally, Phi Sigma
Theta is involved in mentoring and community service programs
and encourages its members to become involved locally.

5. If I transfer to another
university what happens with my membership?
Membership in Phi Sigma Theta is for a lifetime regardless
of where your academic path may lead. You can provide
Phi Sigma Theta with your new university information and
we can update our records, and re-issue a new certificate
if requested. Also, it might become a good opportunity
for you as well. You could, if you choose, establish another
chapter of Phi Sigma Theta at your new school if Phi Sigma
Theta is not already currently active on campus.
